If God is good and loves us, why does He allow people to suffer?

This is a frequent question in our minds. The typical answer is that suffering makes people strong. In many cases, one simply cannot find an answer.

Whether we want to admit it or not, this causes us to question the goodness of God and makes it difficult to pray to Him trusting that He hears us and is concerned for us. Here are God’s responses to questions related to this matter:

Question: Why are there people whose lives are full of tragedies? Many are born to harsh conditions/ situations (no choice). It seems unfair.

God’s answer:

Raft in rough waters, with flag SOS. meaning: “Save our souls”

Lighthouse with the symbol of Christ

They refuse to come on shore.
They choose to go their own way.
1717

Meaning: There are two meanings to this sculpture.

  1. They pass me by meaning, people don’t turn to Him.

  2. They don’t follow My light the second is for those who do, they refuse to go where God is leading them to so they remain stranded.

Sometimes the shore that Jesus leads us to may not be what we hope for but in the long run, it’s exactly where we should be.
